Gobble Gobble

The boys' school had a Thanksgiving lunch for parents and naturally I would not miss it for the world. It worked out even better this year that their Thanksgiving luncheon was my furlough day. So what better way to spend a non-paid day off than eating a free lunch at their school : ).

Photo Shoot

I'm still trying to play catch up on a lot of things that happened the last couple of months so please excuse this for being out of order. Will be posting more pictures in the next few days to take us to Jan.

In November, a friend of ours took pictures of Yu-Liang and our family as a gift to us for helping them out. We were so thankful and pleased with how the pictures turned out.

A little challenging taking a picture of a 2 1/2 yr. old

See what I mean

Much easier with a 5 month old.

I love this picture...so sweet

It was definitely easier to get Yu-Lin to take pictures when he was with his girlfriend (i.e. our friends' daughter)

I think these two just may get married one day..

6 Months Old

Seems like we blinked our eyes and now Yu Liang is 6 months old. Where did the time go. Our little baby is growing up so fast and I hate it. I'm not sure if it is just his personaility or a function of being the 2nd child, but Yu Liang definitely wants to grow up faster than we would like.

Here is a video I took today of our little baby crawling and standing. I think it is just a matter of time before he starts walking! Oh my.

Funny Faces

Yu-Lin is such a fun kid that he just cracks us up ALL the time. As adults we often get caught up in all the responsibilities of being an adult that it is so easy to lose sight of the important things in life. He finds joy in everything he does and really helps us keep our lives in perspective.

Here are some fun pictures I took the other night when Yu-Lin and I were eating dinner. Not sure what prompted all the funny faces..but I was cracking up.

Christmas Already?

Well not really, but the singing has started. Last Saturday while out shopping, I went into an isle that already had Christmas decorations up. And my thought was, what the heck we haven't even had Thanksgiving. After the initial "what is going on", I started to tell Yu-Lin about Christmas as we looked at the decorations and sang the chorus to Jingle Bells once. Then right before we left the store, Yu-Lin sang the song back to me without prompting. I was completely shocked that he remembered the song and had to believe he must've learned it at school because how could he remember it after singing it once. On Monday, we checked with his teacher and nope they have not been singing any Christmas songs. All I can say is Wow.

Here is a clip of him singing Jingle Bells to his brother. Was so sweet to see the two of them interact together. I can tell they will be great friends when they get older and I love it.

Look what I can do

Judging from my last post I knew it wouldn't be long before baby brother could do this:

What in the world? Doesn't he realize he will only be 5 months old tomorrow. I'm not ready for him to be on the move just yet. Clearly he has other plans for himself!
