Parenting 101

Another step in our adoption process while the miracles are happening in Taiwan to bring Yu-Lin home, we are also required to take a parenting class as part of our service plan. And since we are first time parents we really could use all the extra advice. We are taking a two hour class that meets once a week for four weeks. We sure hope we can learn enough in that short time or we may have to repeat the class : ) The first thing we learned was giving our child rules and boundaries. Ah, this sounded remotely familiar…rules, boundaries and limitations...Oh yeah, from the famous dog trainer Cesar Milan who we watched religiously after we got the girls. We tried everything with the girls...and you can see how much success we have had at teaching them that this is not their bed. Well, if this in any indication of what’s to come, we are in for some fun times.
