Today is the most special day in our family marked by so much happiness, joy, uncertainty, sadness (for his birthfamily), and of course fear of being first time parents. For one year ago today we officially became a family of 3. We distinctly remember sitting in our hotel waiting for Fion to pick us up and the drive to Taichung that felt like an eternity. But what we remember the most is seeing Yu-Lin for the very first time in his foster mamma's arms. We both cried and couldn't believe our eyes that Yu-Lin was finally our forever son and we finally were able to kiss him, hug him and never let him go. The past year has been the Greatest year of our lives because God answered our prayers and gave us the Best gift in life..Yu-Lin. We could not ask for anything more from Him. And though we have no idea where our little baby went, we are so thankful that Yu-Lin is a healthy, happy, loving, and smart little boy. Thank you God for this wonderful blessing and thank you Son for making our lives complete. We love you dearly Son and cherish every moment with you.

Happy Family Day!!! Oh wow, how is it one year already, and look how much Yu-lin has grown. You and Derek were absolutely beaming, incredible radiant -- it's so cool to see it now looking back with perspective. How your happiness just leaps right out of the photo! And Yu-lin, of course, is the most handsome and smartest of boys! How on earth did we all get so lucky?!?
