More First...

During our second week home, it was marked by many new things. First, the beginning of the week Yu-Lin turned 6 months old. Oh my.

Next, he decided he no longer wanted his pacifer. What a relief since we were concerned since that was the only thing that would bring him comfort. He has now figured out that his best form of comfort is us carrying him.

He also mastered rolling over front to back and back to front. He started doing this after we picked him up and now he can roll his way around...Oh oh...need to baby proof the house sooner than expected.

He also started babbling "da da da da" which of course makes Derek very very happy.

He has also learned to train his parents...i.e. cry and mommie and daddy come running. Not good since now he does not let me out of his sight for too long before he screams as if someone is killing him. At first the cry is startling and then you realize that it instantly stops when he sees you and there are no tears. Hmmmm.

He also started the week out eating solid foods. First rice cereal which he at first found interesting and now chows it down. I think he stopped drinking his formula as he was originally eating with his foster family because he was not satisfied. I'm glad he is enjoying his food. We then started him on applesauce (before we realized we forgot we are suppose to do vegetables first..oops). Here are a couple pictures of him eating applesauce.

Aww - what a cutie - so many firsts! Yu Lin and Andy are so alike in so many ways. Andy also wants to be constantly carried, learns to whine the instant he sees us to ask to be carried (but if he doesn't see us plays happily by himself) and is starting to roll over and eat solids. These boys have already figured how to use their cuteness against their parents! uh oh! =) I love reading your blog and seeing all the adorable pics of Yu Lin!
